Jake begins seeing men in portraits in antique stores and in dreams. Some villagers tried to warn him away. But Maia wanted to stay. Although plague-like symptoms have descended on the town and their pastor is feeling a bit too comfortable with Jake as he continues his investigation and people begin to die. Maia begins to question her husband’s sanity. And should they have gone home in the first place?
Visitors are full of clichés. Which is inevitable in horror. But you can forgive it when done in the right way. Even though it’s not something new. But the visitor was able to overthrow the idea. The “crazy woman in the big house” has been around for a while. Jake is that one, and this time he’s angry. But it’s a little more complicated than the question of consciousness. Fortunately, Jones dutifully plays a role as Maia, questioning her husband’s thinking and encouraging him to believe that everything is fine, even though what appears to be a Biblical disaster is hitting the town. .
